Brunswick Forest recently added a new tenant to its 160-acre commercial area, The Villages at Brunswick Forest.  The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department will be operating a new sub station from Brunswick Forest.  They will be joining BB&T, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Port City Java, Lowes Foods, CVS and other planned tenants of the nearly 500,000 square feet of retail and professional space.
 
The sheriff sub station is scheduled to open its 720 square foot space in mid-late October of this year.  The sub station will house an administrative office only and will not include a detention center.  It will be manned by various local sheriff deputies, one full-time administrative staff member, one major and two detectives.  The sub station will bring a larger law enforcement presence to Brunswick Forest and the local community.  The new sheriff sub station will be open Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm.
