• PLEASURE ISLAND FREE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES, Friday at the Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area from 6-8 pm.
• CAPE FEAR BLUE MARLIN TOURNAMENT, Thursday through Sunday at Wrightsville Beach Marina.
• TO GILLIAN ON HER 37TH BIRTHDAY, Thursday through Sunday at Thalian Hall.
• SHAKESPEARE ON THE GREEN FESTIVAL, Greenfield Lake Amphitheater located at 3rd Street and Carolina Beach Road.
• 15TH ANNUAL DILIGENCE DASH, Saturday in Downtown Wilmington.  5K race.
• SUMMER FESTIVAL, Saturday, 9 am at the Katie B. Hines Senior Center in Carolina Beach.  Bake shop, crafters, face painting, jewelry, yard sale, snacks, music and much more!
