• HOLIDAY LIGHTS TOUR, Thursday through Sunday in downtown Wilmington.  Take a festive trolley tour through some of Wilmington’s best decorated neighborhoods.  The trolley departs from Water & Dock Streets.
• EBENEZER:  A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Thursday through Sunday at UNCW’s Warwick Center. 
• VISIT SANTA!, Friday through Sunday at Hilton Park.  The line to visit Santa closes at 8:30pm each night.  Free!
• ANNIE JR., Friday through Sunday at the Community Arts Center located at 120 S. 2nd Street.
• CHRISTMAS CAROLING WITH SANTA & HIS REINDEER, Sunday through Wednesday from 7-10pm.  The tour departs from Water & Market Streets in downtown Wilmington.

• AQUABABIES WEEKEND @ NC AQUARIUM, Saturday and Sunday from 9-5pm.  The NC Aquarium is located in Kure Beach.  The Aquarium’s education department will provide activities to help visitors appreciate the animals on display as well as the challenges to on-site propagation.
• 2008 MODEL RAILROAD SHOW & SALE, Saturday & Sunday from 10am-4pm at the Coastline Conference & Event Center.
• ART FOR THE MASSES, Saturday, 10 am at Hanover Center on Oleander Drive across from Independence Mall.  200 regional artists invite you to purchase artwork for $250 or less.

• 150TH COMMUNITY DAY ON THE GREEN, Saturday at 10 am.  Celebrate a nostalgic afternoon of carriage rides, potato sack races, antique car show, sidewalk art show and much more.  The celebration will take place at Innes Park at Chestnut Street Plaza.
• 15TH ANNUAL PLEASURE ISLAND SEAFOOD, BLUES & JAZZ FESTIVAL, Saturday from 11 am until 10 pm.  The festival takes place at Fort Fisher Military Recreation Area at Kure Beach.
• BARK IN THE PARK, Saturday at 11 am.  The 2008 Skyhoundz Hyperflight Canine Disc Championships begin at 11am.  Bark in the Park takes place at Wrightsville Beach Park.  If you are a dog lover this is an event you won’t want to miss!
• 2ND ANNUAL PORT CITY RUMBLE HOT ROD & MOTORCYCLE SHOW, Saturday at 11 am.  There will be live entertainment during the event, as well as a concert following the event.  The show will be located on Princess Street between Front & 3rd Streets.
• 2008 CYPRESS FESTIVAL, Saturday at 12:00 pm.  The festival at Greenfield Lake Park will feature an all day long music line up, environmental information, an eco-treasure hunt, storytelling, cypress walks, and discounted paddleboat rides. 
• TOBY TYLER-10 WEEKS IN THE CIRCUS, Saturday & Sunday at Thalian Hall.
• 1ST ANNUAL HOMETOWN HEROES 5K, Sunday at 1:30pm.  The race is run entirely downtown and starts at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside.

The Pleasure Island Seafood, Blues & Jazz Festival will be held this weekend, October 11th and 12th.  The Pleasure Island website describes the festival as follows:  Now entering its 15th year, there will be nationally recognized Blues and Jazz performers, coastal cuisine, natural beauty and salt air that will transport you into another dimension…and into a world where your cares and stresses are left behind.
